ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ Jkfl Redddit Meta Posts
Henlo frens!
Good to see all of you here UwU.
Grab on to your bodypillows, I have a smol announcement about the purpose of this subreddit.
This community is meant as a fun, lighthearted place where we can commiserate with each other about those annoying little irritations that hinder our day to day enjoyment in life.
That means that suitable posts here can be about my children.
And things like a wall socket or tile being placed out of allignment. A crack in a phone screen. Duckling shit on your new car. Incomprehensible software. Mismatched buttons. You know, the little things.
This subreddit isn't meant to incite rage mobs that go after people. For that reason we say:
No reddit meta posts
No posts about being banned from subreddit. No posts about up- or down-votes. No posts about shitty moderators or users or subreddits. No posts about reddit.
All jokes and tomfoolery aside, that sort of thing gets us in trouble with site admins. If we allow one type of post about reddit it then very easily moprhs into allowing posts that directly call out other subreddits or users, we just can't allow any of it.
That rule already existed for years and we have just made it more clearly visible in the sidebar on old and new reddit. We're gonna be a little strict on it for a bit I'm afraid. 🥺
Thank you all for being awesome and have a very Merry Christmas! Celebrate Christmas in the traditional European way, with a suasage roll!

New Post flairs available!!
Henlo every body!
In our never ending quest for increased customer statisftaction we have listened to all of your demands and clamouring and we have _finally_ installed a few new, fun post flairs for yuo to use at your leisure when posting to this subreddit!!
For too long you had a drought of good posting flair options so now you can choose from interesting and poignant flair options such as "wet socks" and of course the pereniall favorite "that's not milk". These are but a few of the new options available.
You can choose any of these or none at all when posting whatever you want, it's not like I care your not even my real dad.

We hope you all have a lot of fun posting here nd please remember to at all times give us a five star review on any mod survey feedback form.

I'm slightly vexed How have we, as a society, not come up with a better way to package flour?
It’s impossible to handle without making an absolute mess. Sugar is the same way with granules falling all over

I'm slightly vexed Rented a bouncer for my niece, for her last day here. She cried and refused to use it because it was dirty
It was dead grass and leaves. She's 8 😩

Infuriatig Fuck me right?
My wife ran into a college buddy earlier in the week that I haven’t talked to in a few years. Decided to reach out to be friendly and see if they wanted to meet up. Must have got a new number recently, and the person who got his old number is not very friendly.

ಠ_ಠ I have tritanopia (blue-yellow color blindness), and whenever my girlfriend gets mad at me, she rips off the stickers that indicate which pen is which color from both the pens and their caps.

wet socks Wife washed my book.
Don't worry guys. I found my page.
Edit: A short story, by a man who does not know how his book ends:
Twas a dark and stormy evening, as the foolish husband looked out upon his days labours. More goblin than man, his visage drooping as if too lazy even to lift itself, he sat, waiting for his princess to complete her chores about the castle.
"I'll bring his book from the bedside" the fair maiden whispered, lifting his favourite tome from his bedside into the basket, filled with his dirty garbs. This act of unprompted kindness was done without contempt, but would become the first step in a tragic path that would claim thousands (of words).
As she wandered about the castle, collecting strewn items - especially the idiot husband's socks - the book became buried inside a mound of stinking fabric.
An hour later, whilst the lazy husband once again placed a Chicken Kiev in the air fryer and called it "dinner", a great and terrible sound began to ring out. A gentle thud at first, but growing into a heartbeat that would pump only sadness. It was coming from the washing machine.
The cover never stood a chance, really. It gave up it's claim to life and spread itself amongst the (dark) fabrics within minutes. The remaining pages twisted, contorting into a defensive fetal position as it bashed time and time again against the filthy clothes and dirty water.
The wind howled. "Morning Star, book 3 of the Red Rising series" lay drowned upon the table. A single tear ran down a cheek.
"I should have done my own washing"

Infuriatig Texas has lost access to Bluesky.
If I remember correctly the law only states that app stores have to verify your age. Not apps.

Have to pee but bed so comfy He farted us both awake
He is a 10, but that booty betrays him. (It's not serious. I asked if it was okay to post in case it might embarrass him. He thinks it's hilarious. Our 30 year anniversary is next month and we adore each other. It's just a wild way to wake up.)

go to your room Apparently we have to drag all this stuff with us on every road trip. Even a short 2 day trip.
I tend to pack fairly light or try to. Other people in my family… not so much.
*edit* holy shit, just made it to our destination and wow this post blew up! So the coffee snob in my family prefers these beans. They have tried many different kinds, including local roasted and some plenty more expensive. But this one is their favorite. It’s not like I can say no, your favorite is wrong. lol.

go to your room Mom doesnt allow me to eat meat because of HER religious practices
Few months ago i got a full body check up, the doctor told me my BMI is very low to the point its affecting my immune system, i was told to eat more meat and protien foods.
Im not allowed to eat meat for 4 days of the week because its always some sort of religious day, if im unlucky i wont get to eat meat for a whole week. She knows im not religious and STILL doesnt let me eat meat, she knows its necessary for my body and she still wont let me.
There are like photos and small sculptures of 10 gods in the small temple in the house, there always is some day dedicated to these gods, and apparently eating meat is considered unholy to EACH of them.
I told her i will cook the meat for myself if she doesnt want to touch meat on those days, then she told me that meat is unholy and using anything in the kitchen to cook meat will contaminate god's offering, this place is a prison.
Even on non religious days she wont touch meat most of the time for some reason, i tried to confront her about it but it ends in usual guilt tripping from her, at least i can cook for myself on these days.
I got hemorrhoids yesterday and she is using this as a reason to not allow me to have any meat even though there is no correlation between meat and hemorrhoids.
I always tweak a little when it always comes to this, i may even become bald before reaching my 20s :(

ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ WAY Too Many Drive Up Pick Up Spots
Target has grossly overestimated demand for drive up pick up spaces. I’ve seen this at every Target I’ve been to at any time of the day. The employees take up all of the front spots, handicap stalls take up the rest of the front parking (no gripe there obviously), but then you have half of the parking lot taken up by vacant drive up pick up stalls, which means every time I go to target I have to park far away whether the store is busy or not. What a waste of space!

The floor is sticky Went to a professional concert and the backdrops were sometimes AI
Styx concert which was AMAZING. But a minor thing I noticed is some songs has some very AI backgrounds. Wish I caught the first song because it was just AI women with missing fingers, distorted limbs, etc. The second song had some awkward transitions that led to distorted birds and weird beehives. It definitely rubbed me the wrong way.
Again band was fantastic, but that kept in the back of my mind.

ಠ_ಠ So many people don't understand the concept of "dairy allergy"
My wife has a dairy allergy. She cannot consume things that are emitted from the bodies of cows or sheep. Milk, cheese, cream, etc.
Questions that are asked on the regular:
"Can you eat eggs?"
"Can you have mayonnaise?"
"Can you have coconut/oat/almond milk?"
Gr.
Did it come out of a cow or sheep? (hint: eggs do not, though they are typically in the dairy case.) If so, no, she can't have it. If not, it's fine.
Did it come from a plant? Then by definition it is not dairy and therefore not included in the dairy allergy no-go list.
It will say right on the label "Contains: milk". If you see that, nope. If you don't see that, or IF IT CAME OUT OF A CHICKEN, then we're fine.
EDIT: NO idea where people are getting the idea that I am "shitty" or "angry" with actual people in real life who ask. Glad they ask. No one's getting treated badly over this. My wife says "I have a dairy allergy" and then I usually follow up with "BTW that means no butter on the bread, don't cook the eggs in butter, yada yada yada" and often the server says "oh right good point I'll make sure they don't do that" All good natured, glad they ask, it's just mildly annoying that people ask about things that aren't dairy. We generally handle it by going to vegan places when we eat out.
My DIL can't have gluten, and she isn't asked if she can have jam since bread and jam are in the same area of a grocery store.
